| The beautiful Canary Islands are known as the sunny terrace of the “House of Europe”. Tenerife, the largest of the islands, is a small continent in itself due to the great variety of its landscapes and towns or villages. On the southernmost tip of the island, rather than “eternal spring”, the islanders and visitors are able to experience “eternal summer”. The Canaries offer the best climate in Europe and probably in the world with water and air temperatures which invite us to spend long hours at the beach. During the day, we may enjoy the moderate, dry heat of the islands and in the evenings, the warm breeze of the trade winds.Already in the nineteen sixties, before international tourism discovered this area, companies offering health and rehabilitation programmes recognized the beneficial aspects of this spot for their patients and set up centres in Los Cristianos. | Villa Atlántida is situated only 20 minutes by car from Tenerife South Airport, in a quiet area above Playa de las Américas. With a built area of 500 square metres and 4 bedrooms, the villa offers sufficient space for up to 8 people. One of the special features of Villa Atlántida is that it was remodelled in such a way that the whole ground floor level – and especially the large suite of 70 m2 – is accessible and suitable for handicapped people and/or people in a wheelchair (see “equipment for the handicapped”). In this way, your handicapped members of the family or handicapped friends will be able to join you during your stay and you may all enjoy a quiet and relaxing long term stay in Tenerife. |
